You swing at the creature wildly with your dagger. It rises into the air and flaps around you, growling and hissing. It dives in and bites you on the arm. Blood drips. Everything spins around you. You've been poisoned! You lie there for a long time. Then, to your amazement, you hear voices and feel yourself being picked up. With relief, you realise that a search party from the village has found you and is carrying you back to safety, just as the sun is setting. They've saved your life!
